Acid Wash

Over time the surface of your pool will build up stains and scale on it’s walls and tile. If this gets bad enough you may have to resurface your entire pool An alternative to resurfacing is the acid wash. We will drain your pool and scrub it with multiple layers of chemicals to remove a small layer of the surface. An acid wash will much or the staining and scale but will never get rid of the deepest stains. This is why it important to keep the pool maintained at all times and avoid staining in the first place.

Swimming Pools get stained from all sorts of things lying on their surface: dirt, algae, metal, chemicals, clothing, plastic can all cause stains. This is because foreign objects create chemical reactions with the water and the surface of the pool. Some of these stains will scrub off easily and others will not. Often these hard to scrub stains come out when you Acid Wash a pool. You are never going to have a perfect surface like you will get when you refinish or resurface a pool but you can get things looking almost new, most of the time.

An Acid Wash Removes Scale

If your pool water does not have a balanced PH level or has other chemical problems one of the common side effects is scale. These white flaky, sometimes sharp deposits do not affect the safety of your water but can be uncomfortable and unsightly.
It just takes chemicals, time and elbow grease to get rid of scale. This is one of the main reasons you might need an acid wash.

Resurfacing

We usually recommend against painting for a number of reasons. The biggest being, some paint jobs foul up and they never last more than a few years. A new surface will last you 15 years or more and in the long run it is the way to go when then start falling apart.
